As a Birmingham entertainment company for more than a decade, we’ve been present at hundreds, if not thousands of weddings. Whilst they range from the quaint and quirky to the weird and wonderful, we’ve found they all have a few things in common.
If you are planning your special day, here are five things we’ve seen that make the cut every single time.
1) Photobooth hire
There have been very few weddings I’ve been to recently where I’ve not seen one of these. Photobooths are extremely popular for guests, so much so that some brides and grooms extend the time of hire so that their day guests can enjoy it as well as evening reception goers. It’s important to break the day up too if you can, to avoid that “lull” before the reception begins. What better way to treat your guests by giving them a memento of your day? Our photobooth hire covers Birmingham and all the surrounding areas and if you want we can add a few extras too, such as a guest book.
2) Ambience – create a great atmosphere
Your wedding reception is where the celebrations really begin so it’s really important that you create a party atmosphere from the start. No Birmingham entertainment company would be complete without a full stock of party-starting gear. We offer starlit dance floor hire that really adds something special to your wedding reception, but if you are looking to really transform your venue, you should consider adding an LED backdrop to your starlit dance floor hire. Our LED letters are popular too and really helps add those finishing touches.
3) Uplighters
This ties into creating a great atmosphere, but adding uplighters really takes your wedding reception to the next level. We are a leading Birmingham wedding supplier and entertainment company who can offer the full service so if you’re considering adding a few uplighters to your starlit dance floor hire, we’d be happy to pull together a package just for you.
4) A good playlist – and DJ!
Of course, the real party depends on a great playlist and we know a thing or two about getting the celebrations started! As a DJ in Birmingham for over a decade, we know all the best floor fillers, as well as those tracks that tempt people on to the dancefloor – and the ones to play loud after a few drinks! Make sure you set up a good playlist and talk to your DJ about getting together a good mix of your favourites, alongside those your guests will know and love.
5) Planning – plan, plan again and think about timings
This may seem like the most obvious, but, those weddings that have a well-rehearsed plan will always run more smoothly. Brides and grooms who provide their wedding suppliers with a list of timings or notes is extremely useful, plus it makes them more relaxed knowing that their day is in safe hands. You might want to give your wedding DJ a list of shoutouts and thank yous. You might want to give them timings of your first dance or cake cutting, so that you can make sure your guests don’t miss out.
